Dispose of prescription drugs for free

South Lake Tahoe Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration officials will accept unwanted prescription on April 28 from 10am-2pm at Safeway in South Lake Tahoe located at 1020 Johnson Blvd. By providing a place to dispose of medications, officials hope to help prevent abuse of prescription medication. The service is free and anonymous.
