Perennial fan favorite Charles Barkley has pulled out of the American Century Championship golf tournament.

An injury forced the withdrawal. He was lifting weights and felt something snap. Barkley tried to play on Wednesday, but his right shoulder said no.

Barkley had played at the Edgewood Tahoe event since 1993.

But he’s not leaving. Barkley is now the unofficial ambassador for the three-day tournament that starts today in Stateline.

To step up to the national media and agree with the Zimmerman verdict says a lot about this mans character. Barkley – a man’s man.

HA. Love the caption on the photo, “unable to play”. Sir Charles has never been able to play, whether on the sidelines or not. ;-)

I agree with Sir Charles that the jury had no other choice because of the insane gun laws in Florida and the terrible prosecution by a reluctant DA. These laws protect an armed wannabe cop punk like georgie that profiled, stalked and killed a teenager. He’s a real man’s man to some people too.
