The Tahoe Women’s Community Fund’s annual membership celebration dinner will be Nov. 2 from 6-9pm at Harveys.
Tickets are $35 and are available online. This is open to non-members.
The theme of this year’s dinner is: The Power of Education in our Community. Former Lake Tahoe Community College President Guy Lease will be the keynote speaker.
The inaugural woman of distinction award will be presented to Karin Holmes, principal at Sierra House Elementary School.
In 2017, the Tahoe Women’s Community Fund granted $29,000 to various nonprofit organizations in the South Shore. This year, through a $100,000 gift from Lisa Maloff, the group will be matching membership money dollar for dollar.
