Students make strides to win bike challenge
Lake Tahoe Unified students made a big push Thursday to take the lead in the Tahoe Bike Challenge.
With about 150 students pedaling 5 miles, that is 750 miles the kids have tallied.
The challenge goes through June 14. It includes groups and individuals.
At the magnet school on June 4 there was a bike rodeo with various events. Three stations were set up at the school, with the California Highway Patrol and Tahoe Regional Planning Agency participating.

Way to go LTUSD students! This is a great show of support for the upcoming South Lake Tahoe bicycle infrastructure projects: Bijou Bike Park, STMS Bike & Ped Connectivity Project, and the Greenway Bike & Ped Project. I hope we see our kids riding their bikes all summer…and to school next year!
