Volunteers sought for bike path cleanup
As part of the Tahoe Bike Challenge there will be a community bike path cleanup on June 13 from 10am-noon.
Volunteers may meet at one of four locations throughout South Lake Tahoe to pick up litter. Afterward volunteers will be treated to lunch League to Save Lake Tahoe office (2608 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe). All ages are welcome and all supplies will be provided

Those who ride to the cleanup will be entered into a raffle.
Maybe they can get a group to clean up and repair Oneidas/Fountain Place Rd up to the top of The Corral ride. Beer bottles/caps and assorted trash are at the closed mid-way gate. Drivers won’t stay on the pavement and in some cases are creating new paths/roads in the forest.
When will the forest service learn to close this road to motor vehicle traffic permanently ? The huge numbers of bike shuttles and illegal off roading do not fit with “Keeping Tahoe Blue”.

We should just ban humans from the forest all together…except for govt vehicles, bulldozers, heavy equipment that are “restoring” nature.
