Two people were arrested this week in Truckee after a traffic stop revealed heroin in their vehicle, according to officers.

Dylan Tanner Robert Surrock, 25, of Kings Beach faces charges of possession of a narcotic for sale and sale or transport of a controlled substance. Abbigail Starr Baker, 27, of Bremerton, Wash., was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia.

A vehicle code violation was the initial reason for the stop March 28 on Highway 89, according to the California Highway Patrol. A K-9 alerted officers that a search of the vehicle was warranted. Officers said more than an ounce of heroin was found.
