About 3,ooo people in the Meyers-Christmas Valley area without power this afternoon.

Liberty Utilities believes a fuse blew because customers on the streets of Oglala and Mandan reported hearing a bang or boom at about 3:20pm Jan. 29.

Crews are on their way to determine the exact cause of the outage. Liberty also told Lake Tahoe News there may be downed wires.

Until the exact cause is determined there is no estimated time when power will be restored.
