This is interesting because my husband had a bad experience with the salad bar at Goodfellas pizza a couple weeks ago. Said the lettuce looked wet and smelled like bleach. He brought it to the workers attention, who tried a small piece that was not wet and said it tasted fine. My husband then tried a few pieces of lettuce and immediately his mouth felt like it was on fire. He spit it out, ran to the restroom and spent 10 minutes rinsing out his mouth. Luckily he was fine, but what if he hadn’t noticed the strange smell, made his salad and tried to eat it, or swallowed it because the salad dressing might have masked the smell. Wondering if this man went to Goodfellas and contaminated the salad bar. The horrible thing is that the person working didn’t seem that concerned. He just brought a new bowl of lettuce out to the salad bar, didn’t check any of the other items. Didn’t offer an apology to my husband or anything. I would have closed down that salad bar immediately!
