With the cooler nights upon us, it’s time to make sure chimneys is in safe working order.

We at the fire department annually respond to numerous chimney fires, mainly due to creosote buildup in the chimney flue. This type of fire has the potential to extend into your house and do major damage.

To prevent this from happening, the fire department recommends periodic cleaning of your chimney.
