South Lake Tahoe’s 50th Anniversary Parade is billed as a unique opportunity for organizations, service groups, athletic teams, schools to showcase what they have to offer while joining with the entire community to celebrate the city’s history.

The theme of the Sept. 19 parade is Past, Present and Future.

Applications are due Sept. 1. They are available online. There is no fee to participate. The parade is open to walking groups and vehicles with the route beginning at Al Tahoe Boulevard and concluding at the Y.
