Snippets about Lake Tahoe
• Warning from Caltrans: Winter driving conditions will return to the Sierra mountains April 5 through April 8. Snow levels are predicted to fall below 4,000 feet, with snow accumulations of up to 6 inches on Donner and Echo summits.
• Vacation home rentals – including a possible moratorium – are on the April 7, 9am South Lake Tahoe City Council agenda. The meeting is at Lake Tahoe Airport.
• Tahoe Parents Nursery School Open House is April 20 from 4:30-7pm at 1100 Lyons Ave., South Lake Tahoe.
• Tahoe Regional Young Professional’s mixer is April 8 from 6-9pm at Himmel Haus in South Lake Tahoe. The group will meet April 22 from 6-9pm at Jason’s Beachside Grille in Kings Beach. Cost is $10 for non-members, free for members.
• Henning Mehrens has been named Barton Health’s doctor of the year. Mehrens specializes in family practice and urgent care. He is the medical director of the Barton Skilled Nursing Facility.
There is a chance we may get snow in the next couple of days. How many times have I heard that?
Bring in some extra firewood and make sure everything outside is covered,car windows rolled up, and your ready. Colder temps. on the way as well(or maybe).
A big pot of of soup or stew simmerin’ away, along with some fresh baked bread in the oven,on the rare chance we may actualy get snow.
A late winter storm in April? But then again I seen it snow damn near every month of the year around here!

really too little snow, 6 inches up top is only 3 at the lake, we used to laugh at that. I would much rather see a foot of rain at this point, Bring that lake up. Im sure you totally agree.
