Still time to participate in Polar Bear Swim

Hundreds of people are expected to line the pier and deck at Gar Woods Grill & Pier on Feb. 28 to watch the annual Polar Bear Swim.

The event is part of the annual North Lake Tahoe SnowFest. Participants swim approximately 250 yards in 39-degree water. Hot Tubs, complimentary appetizers and raffle prizes have been donated.

The swim is after the parade.
