If it seems like your day job is taking over your night hours, you’re right. The Pew Research Center reports nearly half of all Americans do at least some work from home.

“In particular for those who run their own businesses, there is an epidemic of people working 24/7 and taking work home with them,” said Tina Forsyth, a business consultant and author of “The Entrepreneur’s Trap.”

Balance? There is no balance. I am salary and my employer expects minimum 50 hours per week. I am to answer my phone always, take my laptop home and be available on Saturdays. My staff gets a 1/2 hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks for a 9-6 shift. We have to listen to entitled jerks and drunk degenerates complain about their service and bill all day long. Honestly, the attitudes of people in this town is hilarious. People cussing and yelling like 3 year olds. There is no balance to home and work life for most people with a real job.

Look on the bright side, bluewire; you probably make 3X what most other people in Tahoe do. That’s why we get so upset about how high our utilities are. Hard for us to afford them.
Most of us understand that the person on the other end of the phone line didn’t create the problem, and we try to be courteous. But if it’s too stressful, maybe a different line of work is in order.

Keep voting against your own best interests because foxnooze and hate radio tell you to, keep bashing Unions that built the great American middle class and then we can all become overworked, underpaid/appreciated pathetic corporate 1% bootlickers.
