Two people were injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle accident on the West Shore.

Icy roads are an issue at different areas of the basin, especially where it is shady. The Dec. 31 accident occurred on Highway 89 near Michael Street.

CareFlight landed at Tahoe City Golf Course to transport one person to Renown Medical Center in Reno, while the other victim was taken to Tahoe Forest Hospital.

Names of the injured have not been released.
