McClintock to face GOP challenger
By Christopher Cadelago, Sacramento Bee
Republican Art Moore filed paperwork Friday to challenge veteran GOP Rep. Tom McClintock, casting himself as a pragmatic supporter of limited government with roots in the foothill-based 4th Congressional District.
Moore said it’s clear that the federal government is not working for the district, which he believes should be represented by someone with a completely different perspective on public service.
A graduate of Placer High School and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Moore brings to the campaign a combined 14 years of active duty and National Guard service. He spent 30 months deployed overseas and currently is a major in the Army National Guard, he said.
El Dorado County Supervisor Norma Santiago pulled papers for the race but did not file.

I don’t like to see political resumes on this site, unless they are all put out. And, if that were the case, I would like to see what non-military experience (business?) Mr. Moore has. I am glad to see there is a challenge to McClintock – but without the resume until all candidate info is available.
Carpetbagger vs. ringknocker. Should be interesting.
Is he a ranking member of The National Guard of California? The information was too general. There has been one corruption scandal after another involving the leadership of the Guard with a lot of missing money, felony convictions, cover ups, and illegal fake employees and illegal bonuses being handed out. If this is his outfit, this isn’t a resume most would want to claim.
McClintock is a do-nothing life long paycheck politician.
Id love to see mcclintock in the unemployment line…
