Cinco de Mayo—or the fifth of May—commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). A relatively minor holiday in Mexico, in the United States Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, particularly in areas with large Mexican-American populations. Cinco de Mayo traditions include parades, mariachi music performances and street festivals in cities and towns across Mexico and the United States

    No thanks

Maybe there is an anti-immigrant hate-fest in the 1st week of May with all the proceeds going to support bigotry and ignorance and violence. You could celebrate your “real” American culture and heritage as a native white man.

Not giving into anti American Sentiment, does not make me a hater. But If that’s how you want to play it? Go for it. I typed something that Many MANY Americans feel.

May 5th will again be the day where american kids in California schools will be prohibited from wearing clothing that displays the American flag, But the Mexican flag will be ok.

I have no issue with anyone from anywhere wanting to be an american, I do have an issue with a large population of people who live in america but think it should be part of another country. Yes that is what is happening. Go ahead throw some more money at it.
