RAOK: A little fuel to be able to keep stacking that wood

Help with stacking wood is always welcome. That’s just what Dee Phillips got.

Being appreciative of her friend’s Random Act of Kindness has her being today’s winner of Lake Tahoe News’ monthlong RAOK promotion. She will be getting a gift certificate from Cork and More for one of their deli sandwiches.

Random Acts of Kindness is Lake Tahoe News’ way to fire up that spirit of kindness that so often seems to be missing. Acts of kindness are just that — an act of kindness. It doesn’t have to be something grandiose — though some of the comments prove they can be.

Each day a Random Acts of Kindness story is posted with that day’s winner. Past stories may be found under the Random Acts of Kindness category at the top of the page.

For more details about Random Acts of Kindness and the few rules associated with it, check out this story.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to the person who found my black fleece gloves in the parking lot at the El Dorado Center and put them on my windshield! (It was about a month ago or more). I hadn’t yet realized they were missing when I found them on the windshield. It was a cold day too. It made me smile SO big that someone realized they belonged to the person who drove that white explorer.

The smiling face of Joy in the cafeteria out at meyers elementary every day, her cheerful greetings to the kids and example of how we all are part of the collective whole that makes our community a better place is my favorite random act of kindness for the day!!!

We went back to school this week and I hope everyone that works in schools knows how important they are in the lives of every child!!!

Thanks for doing this series on Lake Tahoe News!! It makes me smile to read the stories and comments!!!
