Random Acts of Kindness is Lake Tahoe News’ way to promote kindness. Small, medium, big — it doesn’t matter the size of the kindness, or even what it is. All that matters is that kindness is beginning to spread throughout the community and beyond.

Write about a RAOK you have witnessed, you have received or you have given at the bottom of this story. Then you will be in the running for one of the many kind gifts local businesses have donated.

Lisa Sinizer nominated her neighbors Suzy and Rob Krzaczek for being so neighborly — especially with being new to the area.

As Lake Tahoe News’ latest Random Acts of Kindness winner, the Krzaczeks will be receiving two tickets to ride the Tahoe Queen during one of the paddle-wheeler’s day cruises.

To participates, write about the kindness that has been done to you, the kindness you have seen or the kindness you have done. It can be as simple as opening a door or helping clear snow, or a bit more grand like turning in nearly $1,000 or giving a lift to a stranger.

Rebecca Wass is Lake Tahoe News’ latest Random Acts of Kindness winner for recognizing the efforts a neighbor puts forth in helping keep her driveway clear of snow. She will be receiving two books that Bona Fide Books in Meyers has published.

Random Acts of Kindness is January’s promotion on Lake Tahoe News that is all about spreading kindness. We want people to do kind things and recognize. Right about those RAOKs at the bottom of each story that will be posted for the rest of the month.

It’s amazing how the simplest of gestures are such Random Acts of Kindness. Joel Dameral getting up to get others a chair from the stack in the back of the room at the Lake Tahoe Unified School District meeting last night didn’t go unnoticed. A fellow district employee nominated him to be a Lake Tahoe News Random Acts of Kindness winner while at the meeting.

Joel will be receiving a gift certificate to Sprouts for his kindness.

Random Acts of Kindness has been going on all month. It’s Lake Tahoe News’ way to get people to slow down, look at the kindness that is going on and acknowledge it. Jessika Roberts’ daughter Mirella has a thing for helping pandas. Jessika nominated Mirella in Lake Tahoe News’ Random Acts of Kindness because the youngster would prefer money be sent to help the pandas than spent on a material birthday gift for herself.

Brenda Knox didn’t wait to be asked to help; she just stepped in to provide that extra hand when a woman needed it.
