Reports this afternoon of explosives in Meyers followed by a cadre of sirens was not anything illegal or terrorist driven. The blasts are from Caltrans. Workers blew up two duds left from winter avalanche control work. They were detonated at 12:10pm and 12:20pm near the Flagpole area, according to Caltrans spokeswoman Deanna Shoopman.
