The South Lake Tahoe Optimist Club will be hosting the annual Easter egg hunt on April 7 at Lake Tahoe Community College.
The hunt begins at 11am sharp.
A bonnet contest and costume parade are part of the festivities.
This free event is for infants to age 11.

At the east end of downtown Tahoe City between the Lighthouse Shopping Mall and the State Campground a unique bus shelter is slated go in this spring.
Tahoe City architectural design and engineering firm, Gary Davis Group has donated the design, engineering, and specifications for a proposed Lighthouse Bus Shelter.
“The idea for the striking design came from both the views of Lake Tahoe and South Shore’s mountainous peaks, as well as a reconfiguring of the existing two Tahoe City bus shelter’s design and materials,” the company said in a press release.
The final performance of the play “The Royal Family” is tonight at South Tahoe High School.
The Saturday show was canceled because of the snowstorm.
Monday’s performance begins at 7pm. Tickets are available at the door starting at 6pm. They are $10 for adults, $5 for students, free with Super ASB card and PABA coupons. The high school at 1735 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.
South Lake Tahoe firefighters will be on street corners April 6-7 for the annual Fill the Boot for Burns campaign.
Off-duty firefighters will be shaking their turnout boots and collecting donations to raise money to support burn prevention and recovery programs in Northern and Central California.
They will be near Safeway and Highway 50 and Park Avenue on April 6 from 4-9pm and April 7 from noon-8pm.

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office has streamlined the process of obtaining traffic accident reports by partnering with the Carfax Police Crash Assistance Program.
People are now able to obtain a copy of their traffic accident reports online. The reports are stored electronically in a highly secure database and available for purchase through Carfax.
Individuals involved in a traffic accident are given a unique case number by the deputy at the scene. This case number, along with the date of the accident will be needed to access the report, which is generally available within three to five days of the accident. Carfax charges a $5 fee to provide access to residents so they can view, save, print and email their accident report.
The other change at the department is the discontinuation of front desk service on the weekends due to budget cuts.
During the first two weeks of April, deputies of the Douglas and Lyon counties sheriff’s offices will be conducting increased traffic enforcement patrols on various highways and roadways within the two counties.
The increased patrols will specifically target distracted drivers and unsafe motorcycle operators.
This enforcement detail is partially paid for by a grant from the State of Nevada, Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety.
