Then and now: Tahoe Marina Inn

Known as the Tahoe Marina Inn in the 1960s, albeit no marina, this fashionable multi-story motel with a pool was built on the Bijou beachfront about a block east of the Timber Cove pier.
Local radio station KTHO had its offices and studio in the TMI lobby in 1966.

Later owners changed the name to Lakeshore Lodge and Spa. It stands adjacent to today’s Lakeland Village and behind Heidi’s Pancake House.
