South Lake Tahoe Senior Center (3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd.) is having a pancake breakfast on June 18 from 8-11am.
The cost for adults and teens is $5, for those 12 and younger it’s $3.
A rummage sale is also planned from 8am-3pm. Items will be new or slightly used, including clothing, household items, tools, and more.
These events benefit the South Lake Tahoe Senior Citizens.

El Dorado County has three corridor design options on roadway and path improvements that officials say will provide attractive and safe transportation options for working, living, visiting, and playing in Meyers.

Three weekends of art festivals are planned for the South Shore starting June 17.
From pottery, jewelry, sculpture, prints, paintings, photography, wearable art and woodwork to unique handcrafted items will be available.

Artist to You has been bringing these collaborative events to Lake Tahoe for more than 20 years; contributing to local nonprofits such as Kiwanis, Tahoe Art League, Christmas Cheer and American Legion.
· Tahoe Improv Players will be at Valhalla on the South Shore on June 28, July 5, July 19 and Aug. 2; 7:30pm each night in the Grand Hall. Cost is $12. Tickets may be purchased online.
· The U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit in collaboration with the California Tahoe Conservancy will resume work on the Upper Truckee River Reach 5 restoration project on June 13.
· Lakeview Summer Music Series will return to Lakeview Commons in South Lake Tahoe on June 23. The free concerts run through Aug. 25 from 4:30-8:30pm.
· Incline Village Visitors Center (969 Tahoe Blvd.) has launched the Artist Loft featuring unique Tahoe art from local artists.
· Former South Lake Tahoe City Manager Tony O’Rourke is back in Colorado. He is city administrator for the town of Canon.
The Meyers-based California Highway Patrol office will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on June 10.
The checkpoint will be setting up at approximately 8pm and will be operational at 9pm. The checkpoint will conclude at approximately 2am.
The sobriety checkpoint will be staffed by a team of CHP officers which will be controlling traffic, evaluating driver’s sobriety, and hand out literature warning of the dangers of drinking and driving.
The exact location has not been released.
Progress for Tahoe has decided its initial focus is going to be housing.
The grassroots group that formed in South Lake Tahoe earlier this year will next meet June 14 at 5:30pm at the American Legion. The meeting is open to anyone.
At the May meeting five areas of interest were talked about: housing, environment-recreation, mental health, economy, and redevelopment. Housing is being tackled first because it ties into the other subjects.
“Progress for Tahoe seeks to define Tahoe by solutions and answers instead of complaints and negativity, and always with respect for the incredible change that has already occurred here, and the tireless voices that have fought for and continue to fight for change,” according to a press release.
· Bill Cottrill, who has worked at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel property for 18 years, is now the general manager.
· Beginning June 9 and running through Aug. 18 there will be free shuttles for Truckee Thursdays between 4:30- 9:30pm to the following destinations: Donner Lake, Squaw Valley, Sierra Meadows, Brockway, Northstar, Prosser and Glenshire. For more info, go online.

· John Runnels is trying to sell his corner lot at the Y in South Lake Tahoe. He’s doing so himself. He didn’t respond to an LTN email.
· The North Tahoe and Meeks Bay fire districts are having a Fire Safe Barbecue on June 11 from noon to 3pm at 222 Fairway Drive in Tahoe City.
