Truckee River Winery is having a full moon snowshoe on the property on April 17 from 8-9pm.
Winemaker Russ Jones will be the guide on the tour, and homemade desserts, hot mulled wine and homemade apple cider will await the treksters on their return.
Snowshoe rentals are available for the walk, although reservations should be made ahead of time by calling (530) 587.4626.

Bona Fide Books is offering a three-week class, An Organized Mess: Making Graphic Novels at its office in Meyers. The three-hour sessions will be held on April 16, 23, and 30 from 1-4 pm. On May 4, Bona Fide Books of Meyers will launch its first publication, “Permanent Vacation: Twenty Writers on Work and Life in Our National Parks”. A reading will be at Lake Tahoe Community College in South Lake Tahoe at 7pm featuring local essayists Joseph Flannery and Janet Smith on Yellowstone and Yosemite.
The Lake Tahoe Historical Society will kick into spring with featured speaker Margie Daum on April 26 at Camp Richardson Resort at its annual meeting starting at 7pm.
El Dorado County will host a public meeting to receive input on a proposed bike trail alongside Lake Tahoe Boulevard southwest of the “Y.”

The Tahoe Maritime Museum is putting on a summer launch party on May 28 from 5pm to 8pm. Refreshments will be served.
Heavenly Mountain Resort will host a spring thaw party to benefit the ski patrol and Special Olympics Team Tahoe. The benefit started April 16 from 4:30pm to 8:30pm. Prizes, refreshments and music will be on hand at the top of the gondola.
