Wooden Boat Classic

South Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic at Tahoe Keys Marina & Yacht Club is July 30-31.

One of the largest gatherings of Wooden and Classic Boats featured in Northern California. This is a great opportunity to get a close look, talk with the owners, and hear the powerful roar behind massive straight 6, V8, and V12, engines.




Great Gatsby Festival

Great Gatsby Festival and Tea at Tallac Historic Site on the South Shore is Aug. 14-15 from 10am-4pm.

Throughout the weekend a variety of activities take place on the Pope and Baldwin Estates — vintage car shows, wandering musicians and jugglers, a raffle, special sales of period appropriate items and sale of the annual Gatsby poster. On Sunday afternoon the Tahoe Heritage Foundation holds the annual Gatsby Tea.




Street Vibrations on the South Shore

Street Vibrations throughout the South Shore is Sept. 24-27.

A celebration of music, metal and motorcycles. Street Vibrations offers tours, live entertainment, parades, ride-in shows, stunt shows and more.




Oktoberfest at Camp Rich

Camp Richardson Resort is the place to be for the annual Oktoberfest on Oct. 2-3.

Oktoberfest is fun for the entire family. This event is a traditional welcome to the fall, and features food, live music, crafts, kids’ carnival, hay rides, and the famous beer and wine garden.




Classic vehicle show in South Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show in the Heavenly Village on the South Shore is Oct. 8-10. It is open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles.

National Trails Day

National Trails Day at Stateline on June 5.

Join the Tahoe Rim Trail Association for American Hiking Society’s 18th annual National Trails Day event. TRTA and partners will gather for volunteer trail work on June 5, starting at 9am.




Ren Faire at Camp Rich

Valhalla Renaissance Faire at Camp Richardson Resort on the South Shore is June 5, 6, 12, 13.

Lose yourself in the world of Renaissance Europe. Come and experience the best of live theater and shows including jousting, singing, dancing, storytelling, comedy acts, feasts, merchants and re-creations of sword fighting and battles.




Final peformance at STHS theater

The final performances in the “Little Theatre” at South Tahoe High School is of the Commedia dell’arte play “The Servant of Two Masters”.

The comedy will be presented April 1-2-3 at 7pm and April 3 at 2pm.

Tickets are $10 adults, $5 for seniors and students. Super ASB Card holders will be admitted free as space is available.

The play is presented in three-quarters round and the audience actually sits on the stage.

This play is not recommended for children under the age of 13 because of its sometimes bawdy nature.
