Earthquake shakes Truckee region

A 2.4 magnitude earthquake rocked an area about six miles northwest of Truckee on Tuesday night. The temblor was felt at 6:35pm on May 2. Earlier in the day the area was rattled by a sonic boom. It measured 2.9 at 2:12pm. — Lake Tahoe News staff report
