California officials ponder all-mail voting

When all the ballots are finally tallied from this month’s election, the proportion of Californians voting by mail is expected to break the record set in 2012, the first time more than half of the state’s electorate voted absentee.
The uptick has more Californians pushing for the state to go all the way and ditch traditional polling places. Washington, Colorado and Oregon require all of their elections to be run entirely by mail, and at least 19 others permit some of their elections to be all mail, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
County elections officials have touted the potential increase in voter interest and significant savings from avoiding the task of recruiting and training polling place workers. And some believe an all-mail system could even help speed up and avoid some overtime ballot-counting.
“I say, ‘yes, please,’” said Jill LaVine, the registrar of voters in Sacramento County. “I would love to go all vote-by-mail.”



Just tonight on the news, the people who are still counting (!) the mail-in ballots were complaining about people using pencil when it says to use pen.
Then there was the Project Veritas video about people suggesting that if mail-in ballots are sent in error, you should just fill them in and vote for those people (in Colorado) because, well, why not?
And there’s the fact that I registered to vote in my new home state more than 2 years ago, notified CA that I was no longer a resident, yet they STILL send ballots to me at the old address. Because everything California does is SO efficient.
I shred those California ballots, but I wonder how many others are going to people who are no longer eligible to vote in California, and how many of those ballots get used illegally?
Yeah, voting by mail is a fine idea. For cheaters.

It is possible that this myth is spread to promote efforts to suppress voters.
The Brennan Center from NYU is a far left propaganda outlet for covering up widespread voter fraud and anything else the lefty totalitarians need excuses for.
Find an unbiased source to validate your position.
Legal: Pretty much all analysis has shown voter fraud to be low, except where Republicans have passes voter ID laws that has actually disenfranchised thousands of legal voters.
Oregon has very low voter fraud and has done very well with mail in ballots.

Mail in voting certainly increases the potential for fraud. Even though I told California years ago that I was no longer living or voting in the state, they STILL send an absentee ballot to my old address. No potential for fraud there, huh?
Those ballots get shredded. But I wonder how many thousands of others are they sending that should have been expunged years ago??
Voter fraud is statistically non-existent. Easily researched and validated. Election fraud and voter suppression however are major problems created by those that moronically support the oligarchy and vote against their own best interests.

It’s a fact that Wyoming was the first state to get rid of the all male vote… The cowboys went home and told their wives they were happy about the decision because now they had two votes!!!!!
It is interesting that so-called Libertarians want freedom from big Gubment EXCEPT with regards to Voter ID then suddenly EVERYONE has to have a Photo ID to vote.
First, the Constitution does not mention or require a Photo ID to live, breath or vote. This is not “elitist” it is a simple fact:

The 24th Amendment seems clear to me. Any sort of Photo ID that requires the Voter to pay any sum of money i.e. the ID itself, birth certificates/copies, travel & mileage to other counties or States to acquire said “ID” is a Poll Tax.

The paper I linked to has over 200 citations, at least 50 of them are unique. It is pretty thorough. Dismissing it because of how you perceive the publisher is pretty lazy.
How many other studies can we find that show that voter fraud is statistically insignificant.
Find something as broad as the paper I found that contradicts it.
