Placerville house fire victims died from gunshots
The two women who died last week in a Placerville house fire had been shot to death.
“The cause of the two victims deaths has been determined as gunshot wounds, however the manner in which they received those gunshot wounds is still under investigation,” El Doardo County sheriff’s deputies said in a press release.
The victims are Carol Hague, 62, who lived at the residence and Crystal Ann Ward, 58.
The cause of the March 7 fire is still under investigation, but arson investigators are involved.
The fire was reported at 5:48am Friday in the 1600 Block of Rose Lane. The residence was mostly destroyed by the fire.

This looked suspicious immediately. Most people are able to escape from a burning house. When two people failed to escape, I got suspicious.
Oh great, more gun violence. Another notch for the NRA bedpost!
