Learn what bats eat, where they live and why they are important from local bat expert Brian Buttazoni. Participants will also hear the sounds they make and see photos of bats from around the world.

The event is Aug. 3 from 8:30-9:30pm at Washoe Lake State Park’s equestrian area pavilion. Washoe Lake State Park is five miles north of Carson City.

There is no charge for the program, but there is a $7 per vehicle entry fee; Nevada residents receive a $2 discount.
