The Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride will come through the South Shore on July 31.

The eight-day ride through Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada is to honor and pay tribute to America’s fallen soldiers.

The Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch will be lighted in Seattle on July 23 and then travel more than 1,800 miles to Stateline where the ride will end.

On the final day, the torch will depart Carson City Harley-Davidson at approximately 11am. It will arrive at the Horizon casino between noon and 12:30pm.

There will be a ceremony that includes a military bell ringing at the casino, and recognition of gold star families.
