·      The reservation fee for Desolation Wilderness overnight permits increased from $6 to $10 per permit.

·      According to Kiplinger, Gardnerville Ranchos and Truckee-Grass Valley are in the top 10 for small towns with the most number of millionaires. Gardnerville has 1,445 and Truckee-Grass Valley 3,007.
