South Shore chamber hires CEO from Mammoth

Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce’s new CEO starts Feb. 6.

Craig Schmidt

Craig Schmidt has been leading the Mammoth chamber since September 2014.

His background is being the chief executive officer of chambers in tourist areas. Prior to Mammoth he was in Morro Bay, Healdsburg and Hood River.

 Schmidt is a graduate of the Institute of Organizational Management at the University of Colorado and the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma. He also has a bachelor’s degree in geology and environmental science from the University of Toledo. 

Steve Teshara has been running the organization since B Gorman left in mid-2016.
