BLM seeks input on wild horse management

The Bureau of Land Management wants the public to weigh in on its proposal to round up more than 500 horses in the Pine Nuts.

According to the federal agency, the wild horse population increases about 17 percent a year. About 600 are in the area now.

The BLM says it wants to remove the horses and inject them with infertility drugs because they negatively impact the Pine Nuts.

Comments will be taken until Jan. 22. The environmental documents are online.
