Tahoe woman nods off, crashes vehicle

Chemicals from a vehicle were cleaned up before they reached Lake Tahoe after a single-car crash on July 8 in Tahoe Vista.

Placer County Office of Emergency Services reported cleaning up 55 gallons of isocyanate,

Jessie Fidler, 24, of Tahoe City was going east on Highway 28 about 3:50pm Wednesday when she dozed off, according to the California Highway Patrol. Her vehicle ran into the back of a parked trailer, which then caused the chemicals to leak.

Fidler sustained minor injuries, but declined going to the hospital.
