Soroptimist scholarships benefit Tahoe students

Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe on June 3 awarded $21,500 in scholarships to local students.

The awards went to:

South Tahoe High School students, $1,000 each:

Bailey Anderson, Catherine Baghdikian, Natasha Johnson, Rachael Lamore, Trinity Marino LaTella, Alexandria Marschak and Emma Sower.

South Tahoe High School, $500 Vocational Scholarship:

Arielle Wiza.

STHS Ivone Larson AVID Awards, $1,000 each:

Emily Aminian, Jade Child, Sarah Novak, Joemae Santos and Carli Valney.

Whittell High School, $1,000 each:

Bryce Bronken and Sabrina Trachsel.

Lake Tahoe Community College, $1,000 each:

Antonio Benitez, Aevind Burgess, Daniel Eames, Steven LaPointe, Tara Larson, Anna Mestre and Gina Niceforo.
