Flames engulf Tahoe Vista residence

A two-story residence in Tahoe Vista was heavily damaged by fire Tuesday night.

North Tahoe Fire Protection District officials said the blaze started as a chimney fire.

The residents returned home about 10:25pm April 1 to find their home filled with smoke.

No one was injured. A dollar amount on the loss has not been released.
