Kyburz Fire fully contained

The Kyburz Fire was completely contained Thursday, a day sooner than originally expected.

U.S. Forest Service personnel repeatedly changed the number of acres that were burned. The latest total is 572 acres.

The blaze began Monday afternoon when a vehicle on Highway 50 lost a wheel and that sparked the fire.

The fire took out a shed and an outhouse in the Eldorado National Forest.
