·      Placer County residents may drop off 6 yards (1 yard = 6 bags) of yard waste for free until Oct. 31 at the materials recovery facility on Cabin Creek Road between Truckee and Squaw. It is open from 8am-4pm, closed Sundays. Bring ID for proof of residency.
