Alan was a dedicated, active and resourceful Lake Tahoe Humane Society volunteer board member and – with wife Nell – enabled us to maintain our thrift store operations. He was the ultimate handy man for the shelter facility as well. Alan “rode shotgun” with me when our stock trailer was needed for livestock rescue. He loved Tahoe history and indeed was part of it. I am grateful to have known him and shared his stories. Happy Trails dear friend. I will miss you.
