The first snow of the season at lake level may arrive on Sunday.

Clouds will be moving in on Oct. 2, with moisture coming later. According to the National Weather Service in Reno there is a 50 percent chance of rain and snow showers after 11am.

The overnight low Sunday is expected to be 25 degrees in South Lake Tahoe. The high that day is forecasted to be 46 degrees.

The moisture is expected to continue until late morning Monday.
