A 6-foot sink hole near Genoa is being blamed on a broken water line.

The hole is on Jacks Valley Road between Montaña and the first entrance to Genoa Lakes Golf Course. The road is closed from these two access points.

A precautionary boil water notice has been issued to the residents in the Montaña development. The residents of Genoa have been asked to conserve water.

It is unknown what caused the line to break on July 24.

Douglas County officials say it could take a few days to fix the problem.
