Talk to focus on gut microbiome, nutrition and disease
Carolyn Slupsky of the UC Davis Departments of Nutrition and Food Science & Technology will give a free talk June 11 at 6pm at the Tahoe Science Center in Incline Village.
Diet can have considerable effects on the gut microbiome and overall metabolism, and its quality has been linked with overall health. Slupsky will describe how diet can impact the gut microbiome, and how the microbes in our gut can influence our health.
Cost is $5. A no-host bar opens at 5:30pm. The talk is at 291 Country Club Drive in Incline Village.
