• Five El Dorado wineries will host a wine and food experience on Memorial Day Weekend celebrating Rhone varietals grown in the rocky soils of El Dorado’s Pleasant Valley. • Graham Kent (South Tahoe High class of 1980) from the UNR Seismological Laboratory will give a presentation on Alert Tahoe on April 18 at 1pm at the South Lake Tahoe Library — 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd. Alert Tahoe is a one-of-a-kind, fire camera and multi-hazard tracking system that includes smoke investigation, prescribed fire oversight, wildfire tracking, Earthquake Early Warning, and monitoring of extreme weather events.

• Coyote Grill at Round Hill Square changed ownership this month and will become Casey’s, an American cantina. Tom Gallatin of Zephyr Cove is the new owner.
