• Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7am-5pm Sept. 15-18 from Airport Road to F Street in South Lake Tahoe for paving and erosion control work.

• Here are the weekly roadwork schedules from Caltrans for El Dorado-Tahoe and Sierra.

• Ironman Lake Tahoe is Sept. 21. For the first time nationally, Ironman and Ironman 70.3 race on the same day. Athletes will traverse the same terrain by water and land. The swim begins at Kings Beach State Recreation Area, then cyclists pedal through Truckee and over Brockway Summit before the event ends with a run into Squaw Valley.

• Tahoe Regional Young Professionals presents Cover Your Digital Assets on Sept. 17 from 5:30-6:30pm at Lake Tahoe Airport. Zion Fink of Techtastic Lake Tahoe IT Consulting will provide an hour of best practices in data backup so attendees can learn how to protect some of their most valuable assets. The workshop is free for members and $5 for non-members.
