A fire on Tramway Drive in Stateline on Saturday did not reach the interior of the structure.

The two-alarm fire Sept. 13 at 6:42pm burned the deck of the residence and the siding.

“(The cause) is under investigation related to construction activity,” Tahoe Douglas Fire Marshal Eric Guevin told Lake Tahoe News.

Official response to the fire was the reason for the extraordinarily long traffic delay on Kingsbury Grade last night until about 8:10 PM, aside from the expected delays of the posted construction work. Unfortunately, a few poachers decided to bypass the flaggers, and so NHP had to be summoned, causing even more delay. I’m told such an act brings a serious monetary fine, or more.
