Beach cleanup to follow fireworks

People will be out in force today picking up debris from Sunday’s annual fireworks show.
The Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority is organizing trash pick up today through Sept. 5 from 9am-noon each day. The beaches include: 4H Beach, Tahoe Shores, Nevada Beach, Round Hill Pines.
The fireworks on the South Shore are now shot off from the Nevada side.
The cleanup days are to help ensure all the floating debris is removed and discarded properly.
Lets hope that couple who moved here and filed a lawsuit are leading the cleanup. UNLESS, they are hypocrites.
Aspen, So quick to criticize as you sit at your computer. Why are you not out leading the clean up? Maybe the Truxlers do not like the fireworks spectacle.
Doesn’t matter. THEY brought on the suit. If it’s such a big deal then they should be a part of the clean up. If you can’t see that….I won’t help you. If they don’t like the spectacle, they are welcome to move back to the bay area. I don’t participate in the fireworks at all. Too many idiot tourists and a complete crowd scene. I don’t feel I have any responsibility for cleaning up after. The bay area couple made a big deal about it so I think THEY should be a part of the clean up. It only makes sense….unless they are hypocrites. I bet they support the homeless yet have never taken one in. They want to whine but also want someone else to fix it.

Gaspen. Lake Tahoe is a Federal body of water which means every American has a right to enjoy it; whether you live in the Basin or not. The Truxlers actually did pick up the firework trash and then proceeded to show it to a judge. Sorry to be the one to tell you, but you are NOT the center of the universe.

Man you would look really stupid if there was some record of what they did or didn’t do to clear this up.

why does every article that gets put on LTN turn into such a pissing match when you read the comments? The same people bitching and moaning at each other on every article? I’d like to see what you’d treat each other like if you were face to face. I guess it’s to easy to hide behind the keyboard….the only one who makes sense without ripping someone is probably OLS

Tom, the conversations would be a lot more constructive if it wernt for the finger pointers. Quite frankly, the replys to some of the blogg trolls is purely to let them know that their comments and accusations are actually read and there are alot of us who disagree. I certainly dont want them to think many of us out here agree with their trash and whimes.
I agree with you about OLS though. He does seem to reply thoughtfully to most of this rag. My thoughts are a lot more emotional. Some of the trolls just like to push buttons. Im not sure I would want to personally know anyone who posts on this site. If their comments tell anything about them, there are some real nutcases and unstable folk hiding behind their monikers.
