Snowboarder missing in backcountry near Castle Peak

Rescue crews are searching for a 25-year-old snowboarder who was riding in the backcountry Monday afternoon when he vanished.
The man might have gotten disoriented in the snowstorm, officials said.
Search teams are looking for the snowboarder in the Castle Peak area, across Interstate 80 from Boreal Mountain Resort, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department.
